Springtime of the Heart

 

Isaiah 43:18-19 Revised Standard Version (RSV)

18 Remember not the former things,
    nor consider the things of old.
¹⁹ Behold, I am doing a new thing;
    now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
    and rivers in the desert.

In God, you and I can have a springtime of the soul. Our hearts can experience a freshness even after facing challenges that test our core. And this can happen not only during special moments, it can happen daily as we come before him with humble hearts, with yearning for his Spirit to come descend upon us and touch our hearts.

Everyday, every moment even, is a new beginning, a newness, a freshness, indeed a springtime of the heart.
